I'm a 40 year old lawyer living in Ridgeland, Mississippi. I'm several years and a couple hundred miles removed from most of my old running buddies so I started the blog to provide an outlet for many of the observations and ideas that used to be the subjects of our late night/happy hour/halftime conversations and arguments.

  1. Zeek says:

Are we only going to induct 12 this year? I think it should be closer to 30; based on the same principle as stated before. There should already be many more than 30 in HOF prior to 2009, we’re gonna be playing catch up forever.

  2. Zeek, honest to God, quit complaining.

  3. Zeek says:

Once again, not a complaint, just a suggestion, and what I would like to think is a voice of reason. TB, why is it everytime I give an opinion or make a suggestion it is labeled as a complaint or whining? Just trying to help make this thing as good as we can. You have stated on here several times that all that b.s. is welcome and needed, so shut up,quit complaing about me, and tighten up
    you little pu$$!!!

  4. larry says:

    quit whining zeek.

  5. Madd Dawg says:

    Zeek,

TB doesn’t like your ideas, so they are labeled as “whining”.

TB likes everyone else’s ideas, so they are labeled as “helpful suggestions”.

I suggest that you work on the quality of your ideas.

  6. Zeek’s suggestions have been reasonable. Many of them I’ve even agreed with at some point. But some, like the most recent, have come after a course of action has already been committed to.

I’ve already said I made some mistakes on this and that its imperfect. No more mea culpas. It’s time to move on. Besides, its gonna be a pain in the ass for me to do 12 bio’s with accompanying material. I’ve done 1 1/2 so far. A dozen is plenty for my (all volunteer) staff to tackle at a time.

  7. Zeek says:

“F**k you, F**k you, and F**k you!! Now, who next?”(To quote my boy from My-T-Sharp)

“A course of action has already been committed to”????? WTF??? This is not a deployment on the Ho Chi Minh Trail!!!

I’m taking my ball and going home!!!!

  8. Anonymous says:

    Now who’s the pu$$?

  9. Jessie Lou says:

Too much testosterone on here for me today!

  10. jester40 says:

    Zeek,

Don’t let them get you down!

  11. smilyj says:

Man, Zeek takes this stuff kinda serious-like…

  12. workinbaen says:

The voting on this ballot is closed. Hal Lee is elected overwhelmingly. The other two ballots resulted in ties. Face with the choice between another ballot, leaving all of them out or putting all of them in, I’m going with the latter. So Verlon Biggs, Litterial Green, Erin Sims and Sarah Bailey are all elected.

I’ve started putting together a new site dedicated to the HOF only. I think y’all are going to like some of the stuff I’ve found already and some of the contributions I’ve received from readers.

I’ll probably launch the site this week and unveil the inductees one by one. Tune in here for an announcement and a link to the new site.

  13. Madd Dawg says:

The clock is now ticking waiting on yet another poor idea/unreasonable suggestion from Zeek.

  14. Zeek, are you really gone?

  15. Madd Dawg says:

no way, Zeek can handle a little good-natured ribbing from his ARB’s

  16. Jessie Lou says:

I think Zeek has left the building.

  17. larry says:

    I think Zeek got a J-O-B.
