Speaking of the NY Times, there’s a great comment on its website from one of the readers that says, “If ignorance is bliss, why are those people so angry?” It’s one of those lines that I wish I had come up with.

As Irvine (and others here) can attest I had those same fears when he would go off to see his dad. He started flying to meet him at the age of 9. There was only one major snafu that scared me to death and when I called to report it to his dear sperm donor the idiot hung up on me. Guess he was not too concerned that his child was stuck in Houston and would have to sleep with a stranger (read possible child molestor) in a hotel room. The good news is – one day they do not have to go anymore unless they want to.
